In Summer 2025, I was a design intern at Penguin Random House. I created a variety of digital and print marketing assets, including social media posts, ads, Amazon A+ Content and galleys.
I created an Instagram carousel for Dutton recommending books inspired by Summerween. Each slide combines elements of a summer beach party with Halloween iconagraphy. I designed the carousel in Photoshop.
I created a buzz animation for Instagram, showcasing praise from book reviews. I designed the background and book assets in Photoshop and animated the text and graphics in After Effects.
I designed a set of digital ads for Penguin Press. The goal was to advertise the new paperback edition of a book that had previously been published as a hardcover. Using the book cover as inspiration, I designed the background in Photoshop and resized the ad for various platforms.
I designed social assets for a sweepstakes. The sweepstakes includes a pair of books in the thriller genre, so I opted for a moody, atmospheric background with typography inspired by one of the book covers. I created the design for an Instagram post and later resized the post to become a social header.
I designed a galley for Berkley. Using the front cover as inspiration, I designed the spine and back cover to form a cohesive look. I designed the cover assets in Photoshop and completed the typesetting in InDesign.
